Handling technology

Your workpiece in the right place at the right time.
Whether simple provision or the handover and storage of your workpieces in the correct position, everything from a single source. Static end pieces, separators or complete transfer handling (Pick & Place) are reliably designed and manufactured in-house.

Application examples

Provision of a hex. Flange welding nut for customer pick-up by means of a robot:

The hex. Flange weld nuts are used in a type OA45
in stock and sorted in the correct position. The workpieces are placed on the type FS61 linear conveyor
then buffered and conveyed for separation. The first workpiece on the buffer section is
pneumatically separated to the side and is then available for the customer to take over.
Complete with movement queries and part controls, wired to a BUS module.

Provision of a shaped sheet metal part for collection by the customer by means of a robot

Due to the geometry of the shaped sheet metal parts, the correct position transfer to a robot is only possible through a subsequent additional alignment of the workpieces. Due to the geometry of the robot gripper, a further retraction stroke was necessary in order to be able to hold the workpiece ready. Complete with movement queries and part controls, wired on
a valve terminal.

Provision of a complete door hinge for the customer to pick up using a robot in an automated door assembly system in vehicle construction

In addition to the actual task of this feeding device, the correct position of the door hinges for the takeover by a robot for the fully automatic assembly of the door hinges, the detection of incorrect hinge types and the alignment of the opening angle of the hinge.
For this purpose, various contours of the hinge are queried in the separation and a wrong hinge is ejected if necessary.
In a further step, the hinge is first closed completely and then opened to an adjustable angle in the alignment station.
Due to the size and geometry of the workpieces, the largest feeder TYPE FGH80 with an upstream bunker conveyor TYPE BF80 / 40 and a linear conveyor TYPE FS101 were used.
This feed was also delivered completely wired to the valve terminal with all the necessary movement queries and part controls.

With this feed device, the actual task of providing the tailgate hinges in the correct position for the takeover by a robot for the fully automatic assembly of the tailgate hinges, the alignment of the opening angle of the hinge is added. In a first step, the hinge is first closed completely and then opened to an adjustable angle in the alignment station.

There was also the requirement to provide two hinges for collection at the same time.

Transfer of a welding screw to a welding machine provided by the customer

The welding screws are stored in an automatic sorting machine type OA60 and sorted in the correct position. The workpieces are then buffered on the type FS101 linear conveyor and conveyed for separation.
The first workpiece in the buffer section is separated pneumatically to the side and then upwards via a vertical lift
transferred to the pneumatic handling unit.
The pneumatic gripper takes over the isolated welding screw and places it after a corresponding vertical and
horizontal stroke in the lower copper of the customer's lower electrode.

Pushing a molded part into a vehicle door provided by the customer

The molded parts are stored in a modified MSV04 / E2 nut runner, sorted in the correct position and individually distributed over two transport hoses. At the end of the transport hose, the molded parts are each held in a magazine.
The molded parts are then pushed directly from the magazine into the intended receptacle on the left or right vehicle door. In addition, the vehicle door is fixed by a pivoting retainer to ensure that it can be pushed in reliably
guarantee.
